Telehealth

At Corrielus Cardiology, we aim to offer our patients accessible and high-quality cardiology care- no matter where they are located. Telehealth allows you to connect through a video conference with Dr. Corrielus, receive medical care, and be prescribed medication while staying in the comfort of your own home.

By receiving prompt medical attention, you can start treating your symptoms immediately and avoid further complications.

Telehealth significantly benefits those with accessibility issues or who live in remote areas. If you have any heart health issues and need a medical consultation, you can quickly communicate with our physician for a precise and fast diagnosis.

How Telehealth Works

After you’ve booked an appointment with us, we will send you a calendar invite with a link to digital registration forms. You’ll be expected to complete the forms and, using the link provided, meet your provider online on the date and time specified.

What to Expect from Your Telehealth Appointment

Telehealth allows you to virtually meet with Dr. Corrielus instead of visiting our office. Our 100% HIPAA-compliant system uses a two-way, high-definition video to talk face-to-face as if we’re in the same room together.

With Telehealth, you can also expect to:

  • Submit your medication list, allergies, ID cards, and medical history in advance
  • Chat or share photos describing your symptoms
  • Have prescriptions electronically sent to your pharmacy
  • Securely pay online for your virtual visit
  • Swiftly share any concerns you may have about your treatment

Benefits of Telehealth

Compared to in-office appointments, telehealth provides multiple benefits to patients, such as:

  • Missing less time at work
  • Having fewer disruptions with any child or elder care responsibilities
  • Eliminating the time or travel expenses associated with your office visit
  • Receiving quality health care faster
  • Reducing the risk of catching contagious illnesses like the common cold, flu, and COVID-19

Insurance & Telehealth

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Medicare offered coverage for telehealth services in an effort to avoid contagion. However, this Medicare coverage may be a temporary benefit.

Although some companies may cover telehealth altogether, it is best to consult directly with your insurance provider to clear any related concerns.
